Woman Saves Sibling Kittens While Others Decided to Give Up, and Raises Them into Gorgeous 'Panther' Kitties...

Two little black kittens were brought into an animal clinic, in desperate need of help. A woman who worked there, offered to foster them while others had given up.

The kittens were very sick and emaciated when found with their deceased cat mother. Little Atlas had a missing eye and his sister could hardly see due to infections. The vet did not believe that they would survive, but one of the employees refused to give up and volunteered to care for them.

"I agree to the expensive endeavor of fostering them because I am a sucker for an undercat," imgur user catchforusthefoxes said. "Atlas was on the verge of death for over a week and had to be bottle fed every few hours. Shortly thereafter we found out that he had distemper."

She paid out of pocket for the medication to keep him alive. "(My vet) strongly pushed humane euthanasia. My Never-Tell-Me-The-Odds plot storyline thickened!"

After a week of round-the-clock care, eye medication, de-worming and plenty of good food, the two kittens looked significantly better. Though they were still sneezing and wheezing, they were improving, and that was enough for their caregiver to keep fighting for them.

"Atlas shrieked if he wasn't being actively held by me, so he hung out in my pocket at work and occasional happy squawks emerged from my scrubs, much to the surprise and delight of my patients."

"Cambria stood in front of every new thing they encountered to protect her little brother from it. Everything was scary and they needed constant reassurance."

When it was time to find them their forever home, the clinic pushed to have them adopted separately, but their foster mom knew that they had to stay together.

"The vet clinic and I opted to mutually part ways. Dad came home to find me jobless, with two permanent additions to the family."

The feline siblings snuggled up to their new canine brother and decided to join him in his crate.

A month later, the kittens had grown bigger and stronger, albeit still tiny for their age. Their human Mom had started a new job and their human Dad had learned to become a cat person.

"Our scrappy duo cannot meow properly, instead chirping and barking like cat-dogs. They are inseparable unless they are actively suckling a blanket or Mom's hair."

"They like laying on top of the dog, chasing the laser in tandem, singing the song of their people when Mom and Dad try having them sleep in another room."

At three months old, the two feline siblings were healthy and playful. Atlas was able to keep his one eye, and their personalities began to shine through.

"Cambria likes to collect things… She is very quiet unless she's playing fetch, then she trills non-stop.

"Atlas is all chirps, 'barking' and sounds just like the poison-spitting dinosaur in Jurassic Park. He likes beards, stealing the dog's food, and following Mommy around so he can climb on her shoulder and eat her hair."

"Cambria's favorite person is Dad, and she likes to be tucked into his sweaters. Dad turns to Mom quietly one evening and says, 'Hey. I love them.'"

The two partners in crime have blossomed into rambunctious mischief-makers, constantly plotting new antics around the house.

Couple Saves Frightened Feral Cat and Turns Her into Snugglebug - 8 Months After Rescue…

A feral cat was found gravely ill wandering the streets in Flint, Michigan. A couple learned about her plight via Facebook, and knew they had to save her.
Meet Panda Bear!

Early this March, Cassandra Claxton and her boyfriend, Blake, saw a post about a sickly feral cat in desperate need of help. They immediately offered to take her. The kitty was very frightened but so weak that she couldn't run away when the couple came for her.
"We were instantly heartbroken, but lovestruck, at the same time. Blake and I knew that we not only needed to help her, but that we WANTED to help her. When we gave Panda a bath her first night, she was scared out of her wits and curled up in the sink corner under the room temperature water. After the bath, we wrapped her in a warm towel and took her to the closest emergency veterinarian, nearly an hour and a half away," Cassandra told Love Meow.
It was 10PM at night when they were headed to the animal hospital. Knowing that the kitty needed immediate help, they were not going to wait till the next day.

"One short assessment later was when we learned that this little girl that we thought was a kitten was actually 1.5 years old and only 2.5 pounds."
Panda's tongue was constantly sticking out due to her rotting teeth. "She had stomatitis, a disease that makes her body allergic to the plaque on her teeth. It caused her to get ulcers, or sores, on her gums, lips, and sides of her tongue. She had fleas, tapeworm, and ringworm."

After a long trip back from the vet, they got the medication they needed to start treatment on Panda.
"We took her home to a different part of the house where the other cats (Moomoo, Jasper and Little Girl) wouldn't contract any parasites. The vet said she hadn't been spayed, which led me to believe that she had been born on the streets of Flint. Not to mention her debilitating fear of humans in general."
During the first couple of days, Panda was so fearful of people that she would urinate or defecate every time the couple came in to give her food. They made sure she was always warm and comfortable. On the third night, Panda was so dirty that she was in need of a bath.

"We gingerly pulled her out and gave her another bath with very sensitive cat shampoo. Panda was so small that we were able to comfortably wash her in the bathroom sink, and so weak that she didn't even fight us," Cassandra said.

"Every night when I would come home from work, I'd feed the other three and spend a little time with them. Then I would make the painful journey down the stairs to see the poor thing struggling to survive in the basement.
"It was the second saddest thing I'd ever experienced in my life. I would get down there, hear her go potty in the kennel, feed her, and wait for her to calm down and drink some water. Then I would gently grab her with a fuzzy towel and cocoon her in it. I would keep her in my arms while I cleaned up the kennel, put in new linens, and made everything just right. Holding her in my arms, gently petting her forehead with one finger, I would cry for an hour or more as I willed her to keep fighting.

"I wanted her to know that I loved her and that I was here for her."

Panda tried to hide from her humans but she couldn't hide her hunger. After wolfing down every bit of the food, she retreated back to her security spot and curled up in a ball.
"There were so many nights that I thought that I couldn't do this, that I was setting myself for hurt. But my boyfriend and I pushed through it all with Panda. It was a stressful, emotional, and painful journey."
After a month of tireless effort to get Panda's trust, the sweet tuxedo let out her first purr. That day, Cassandra was able to pet her on her back and give her some head scratches. After the initial shying away, Panda realized that it felt good to be loved, and at that moment she made a 180 and decided to accept their love.

For the first time in Panda's life, she stopped fearing, started embracing all the love from her humans and she could finally sleep easy at night.
"Panda is a firecracker. She only has two teeth (her bottom canines) so her tongue sticks out constantly, which gives the impressions of being sassy and innocent all at once. She rubs on the other cats in the home and plays with them constantly," Cassandra told Love Meow.

"Panda loves being petted and brushed. She's like my little shadow and follows me around everywhere and wants nothing but love.
"This is considerably amazing, taking into account that it took us over a month for us to hear her first signs of purring."

"This is her today. She has a small snaggletooth because has only her two bottom canine teeth. I (lovingly) call her Jaws and Gummy Bear."Cassandra Claxton

Panda has a raspy meow that is quite endearing.
"It's kind of like Daenerys' dragons after they were first born. But, she does trill and chirrup, sometimes she even howls."

"Panda is the most loving creature that Blake and I have ever come across and we wouldn't change a thing about her," Cassandra told Love Meow.

"The love she gives us today is more than I could have ever asked for in a companion. Now she is a healthy seven pounds and has gotten rid of the parasites and diseases.
"Its been hard... But she's happy. She's playing. She's not in pain. She loves us. And she knows that we love her."

Cat Lived a Rough Life Finds Love and Gets Happiness Back into His Beautiful Eyes.

A ragged looking cat was spotted on the streets of Montreal. He looked as if he'd been fending for himself, living an outdoor life for quite some time.

Marie-Eve from Montreal spotted the kitty in her neighborhood and knew she had to help him. The stray cat was covered in dirt and matted fur and was clearly in pain. The sadness from his eyes broke her heart.

She made it a mission to get the kitty off the streets and get him help, so set up a rescue plan in mid July.

However, capturing the cat was much more difficult than she'd expected.

After having lived as a stray for so long, the kitty's survival instincts made it challenging for his rescuer to catch him.

The clever cat avoided the trap for nearly three weeks until his hunger became so great that he couldn't resist the food any more. Marie-Eve could finally breathe a sigh of relief when she got him safely in the trap.

All the shelters were full at the time so Marie-Eve took the kitty to the vet on her own to get him treated and shave off all the knots and mats from his coat.

That day, the kitty went home with his rescuer and was able to get some much-needed shut-eye in a comfortable, warm bed.

For the first time in a long while, he felt safe and pain free.

"He had war wounds including an abscess on his cheek. His ears were frostbitten which indicated that he'd spent at least one winter outside. His rescuer saved his life just in time as he wouldn't have been able to survive another winter on his own," Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared with Love Meow.

They named him Marcel. The 4-year-old cat was very nervous and shy at the clinic and kept his head down to avert eye contact.

"He was terrified of all the changes. He was missing a few teeth, and his ears had scars from frostbite. His wandering life must have been very difficult."

Lily, a volunteer of Chatons Orphelins Montréal, took Marcel home to foster. Within 24 hours, he went from a very timid kitty who buried his face out of shyness to lying in his foster mom's lap purring.

"Marcel fell asleep next to his foster mom. It was a very promising beginning. Though he got startled easily with some sounds, with time he began to understand that there was no more danger there."

Marcel is a big kitty, weighing at 14 pounds. He's very strong but a kitten at heart.

Over the next few weeks, Marcel came out of his shell and began to love and trust. He came running for attention when he heard his foster mom. The sweet and gentle boy wanted hugs and would cling to his human every night for cuddles.

"He was pampered and he got his hugs every day. This sad-looking bear became happier and happier.

"Marcel likes to be the center of attention. If we talk to him, he answers."

Two months after he was rescued, the sweet boy was adopted into a loving home.

Kitten With a Pair of "Worrisome Eyebrows" Grows Up to Be a Handsome Cat!

In 2015, a tiny kitten came into this world looking a bit concerned.
Meet little Gary!

He was born with two adorable blotches on his forehead which resemble a pair of eyebrows. They are slanted down and shaped as if he is always concerned and worried.
When Gary's human, Andy Entwistle, saw the kitten for the first time, he noticed those distinctive markings right away and fell in love.
As the kitty grew, his "eyebrows" also got bigger.

Those endearingly peculiar markings make little Gary look constantly confused.
His humans gave him a nickname, "Concerned Kitten", and it's stuck ever since.

He found a scarf and claimed it as his own.

The kitty uses his "talent" to swoon his humans. That "sad kitten face" works every time!
