+50 Eyes-Open Small Baby Kittens Will Melt Your Heart! & How To Take Care!

Newborn And Small Kitten Care can be both one of the most exciting experiences you've ever had. We all love those cute pets. The first two to three weeks are the most crucial for your mother cat and her newborn kittens. This Care is very hard to us. The care that you give some newborn kittens will depend on a few and important things: the ages of kittens, whether or not the mother-cat is still caring for the kittens, and how healthy the kittens are. The most critical time in a kitten's life is during the initial 3-5 weeks. Physical growth and also developmental changes occur quickly. Within 4 to 6 weeks, kittens go from being totally dependent on their Mom to being self-sufficient. Health problems in young kittens fall into three categories: infectious diseases, such as respiratory infections, diseases caused by parasites, and certain congenital diseases. Of the latter, one of the most well-known by people involved in rescue and fostering is Fading Kitten Syndrome. During the first few weeks of life, a kitten’s primary concerns are feeding, keeping warm, developing social skills and learning how to excrete on his own. In most cases, humans will simply watch the mother cat perform her duties. However, if the kitten in your care has been separated from his mother or if the mother cat has rejected her young or cannot produce enough milk, caring for him is up to you.

Tips:
In a pinch, if you can't get kitten baby bottles, an eye dropper will do. Be very careful to drop only a very small amount on the kitten's tongue to avoid aspiration of the formula into his lungs. Weigh your kitten every day, on a food scale covered with a clean cloth. He should gain 1/2 oz. ever day for about the first two weeks. Buy several bottles and nipples, then sterilize and fill a number of them at once, and refrigerate. Warm as needed, following the directions above. Proper positioning of the kitten is critical. Raising his head may cause aspiration of the formula into the kitten's lungs, which could be fatal.
