This Animal Lover Is Doing Amazing Things To Save Abandoned Cats In Saudi Arabia

For 4 years, Lauren has worked in Saudi Arabia as a critical care nurse. Despite working 12 hour shifts, she dedicates all her spare time to caring for sick, abandoned, and neglected cats and kittens in Riyadh. Source PuzzPaper
When Lauren, a self-confessed animal lover, first moved to Riyadh she was shocked to see the large number of abandoned cats and kittens throughout the streets and within the residential compounds. She has cared for literally hundreds of cats over the past 4 years, whether it be rescuing injured cats from the streets or providing shelter and care for a mother cat delivering a litter of kittens. She has cared for many cats since birth, and has dedicated her time to finding suitable forever homes.
A regular client at the local vet clinic, she has spent an extraordinary amount of her own money on medical procedures and life-saving operations for the cats that so many other people have neglected or ignored.
It is now time for Lauren to leave Saudi Arabia, and sadly, she can not take all of her beloved cats with her. She has tried to rehome all her cats locally, but there are not enough people to take them all. The only hope for the remaining 30 cats is a rescue center in Canada. She has started the long process of transporting the cats, with the first group of 6 due to arrive tomorrow morning. It is an expensive process, but the thought of leaving any of her “babies” behind is devastating.

One day, she hopes to travel to Canada to visit the cats that have become a part of her extended family. These cats have already suffered so much, and they deserve a chance at happiness, and to live a long, safe and healthy life.
Lauren has set up a Gofundme page to assist with the cost of relocating these beautiful animals. If anyone would like to help, please visit: https://www.gofundme.com/savemysaudicats

Just a typical day …..

Sometimes it’s hard to find a comfortable place to sleep …..

Vaccination records all ready for the Canada-bound cats!

10 Cats Who Use Dogs As Pillows

While some people are arguing which is better cats or dogs, they don’t even care at all. Life is too short for these useless competition anyway. Instead, they get a long just fine. They play with together, eat together, and of course, nap together.
As you might already know, cats are prissy creatures and they want to be treated the best way possible, so these doggies just give them the love they need. Cats can have dog’s beds if they want to, but sometimes, what they really want is warm, soft, doggy pillow. They dogs don’t seem to hate it either. So there you have it, these are photos of cats sleeping on their dog friends. We hope this will make your day better. Source purrworld

Cats Who Can't Walk Still Love To 'Run' Around Together

5 Year Old Dresses Up To Help Homeless Cats, Thinks He’s A Superhero To Them

We all need a hero, and cats, especially street cats, are no exception. Enter 5 year old Shon Griffin from Philadelphia. “We call him Catman,” his aunt Kris Papiernik told ABC news. Source VERIY
Aunty Kris and her fiancée have been involved in cat rescues and fostering for many years, and had recently taken to looking after a local group they named the Kolony Kats. One cat, Bug, would just not cooperate when it came to getting shots and being neutered. “Nothing we tried worked,” Aunty Kris said. However she had noticed that her nephew Shon had formed an instant bond with the cats so she let him help out. “The cats took to him right away. Bug came right over to Shon, rubbed against his legs and allowed him to pet him.”
From that day on, Shon was Catman. He regularly visits his aunt and the Kat Kolony, dressed in his favourite superhero outfit, feeding and petting the cats and helping solve any problems that might arise. The cats are drawn to him, even the most unfriendly ones are unable to resist his charms. “He’d scratch their bellies and scratch their heads. It was amazing to see these cats who wouldn’t even allow us to touch them, but immediately took to him. He must have this magical effect that the cats can pick up,” Aunty Kris told The Dodo.
So cats, if you find yourself alone on the streets of Philly, cold, hungry and on heat with bugs in your fur, who ya gonna call? That’s right, Catman!

Meet Pixel the Cat Who Can’t Contain Her Fluffy

Pixel the cat is a 4-year-old Maine Coon cat and is fabulously fluffy. She should be one of the most famous internet cats in the world. She came to her humans as a kitten, but even then she was larger than most average adult cats. Her fur is so long that it’s like there is no ending! <Source cutestpaw>

Pixel’s owners keep her hair in perfect condition by brushing it often. Pixel loses a lot of her fur in the house. “It’s ALOT but it’s totally worth it!” Reddit user Chissekatten said. Even when Pixel was a kitten, she was bigger than an average adult cat!

Newborn Kitten Saved by Man On Rainy Night Changes Him Forever...

A kind-hearted man found a little motherless kitten on a rainy night and brought him home. The tiny kitten fell asleep on his hand and stole his heart.Source LoveMeow

Ray Vargas

Ray Vargas, who had always been a dog person, heard meowing outside his bedroom window one night and went to investigate. What he found was an orphaned kitten whose eyes were still closed.
"I found him on a rainy night, abandoned on the roof of the shed in my backyard. Just followed his meowing," Vargas told Love Meow.
The kitten was crying for his cat mom who was nowhere to be found. Vargas knew that he had to help.

Ray Vargas

"This little orphan did not appreciate being left out in the rain...," he said. "I picked up a kitten feeder kit complete with formula and bottle."
Vargas fed the kitten and kept him warm all night. The tiny fur baby pulled through and started eating more and more.

Ray Vargas

After the first trip to the vet, the kitty weighed in at less than an ounce!

Finally eyes opened! Getting his first good look at the world.

Ray Vargas

Vargas named him Bagheera, and the little fur buddy followed him around the house wherever he went.
He learned to climb onto his human's shoulder, clinging to him like glue.

Ray Vargas

Bagheera grew bigger and stronger, but his love for naps in his human's arms never changes.

A few months later, the kitty has grown into a handsome boy!
Vargas is an artist and his feline companion loves to offer a helping paw when he works. "Working from home is not so easy with this guy around."

Ray Vargas

He adores his human dad.

Ray Vargas

"I had no idea that bringing in an abandoned newborn out of the rain that night would lead this avowed dog person to own my very first pet, a cat no less.
"Best decision I ever made."
